Vacancies

We are an Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' school (June 2019) where ‘staff morale is high’ and we aim to continually evolve our working environment to ensure we remain an outstanding place to work. So what makes us different to other schools?

Blossom House is a very special place to work, not just because of our wonderful team of staff, but also because of the satisfaction of supporting the development of our unique pupils!

It’s very important to us that all our staff feel supported and happy at work. When you join our team you will receive a detailed induction, be assigned a ‘buddy’ and meet with a member of the leadership team for an informal catch-up.

We will continue to invest in your personal development, giving you the opportunity to undertake external courses as well as offering training in INSET. We have a Learning and Teaching Support Team in place to offer one to one coaching if required.

All assistants currently have the opportunity to obtain a City & Guilds accredited training course in Behaviour Support Management while working here. We also deliver the Elklan course which is an accredited speech and language training programme aimed at professionals working in schools.

In addition we can offer you:

  • A newly refurbished climate controlled working environment

  • Well-equipped teaching rooms with interactive whiteboards

  • Ample underground car parking and good transport links

  • Small classes (maximum of 10 but usually less)

  • Teaching assistant in every class

  • A well-being programme which currently includes:

    • £60 termly well-being allowance

    • Generous holiday allowance

    • An independent employee assistance programme

    • Friday lunch and ample drinks and snacks in our comfortable staff room

    • Childcare vouchers

    • Cyclescheme

    • Computer scheme

    • End of term parties and gifts
